Bosch Aero Twin Whippers difference or VisioFlex

Hello,

i have been doing some searching on the site and can see that this is a „regular“ topic in this forum and have been debated quite some times, but i hope you have time to help me anyway.

I have tried reading the topics about this, but my German is not perfect soo i just wanted to be sure i have understood everything right soo i dont order the wrong type (my car is a A3 8L).

I have tried to seperat the questions and made them (hopefully) easy / quick to answer

  1. Aero Twin are available as blades only change, or complete change where both arm and blades are changed ?

  2. I noticed some other whipers mentioned called VisioFlex, is this only other blades for the original arm or also other arms ? (anyone have a good picture ? - are they better looking than the Aero Twin ones?)

  3. Are the Aero Twins front arms better / cooler looking than the original standard ones ? Or why do people change the whole arm and not just the blades ? Maybe changing only the blades isnt a good solution ?

  4. I can see that people are talking about using the rear arms from Golf IV, Golf V, Skoda, Touran. I can see that the Skoda one looks difference and there is some change in size between Golv V and Touran (havent seen Golv IV or other if there is any). But why isnt the ones for the Audi A3 8L (or 8P if there is some) good enough ?
Are they to Big ? or they just simply doesnt look as good as the others, or what is it ? (any pictures?)

  5. It seems that both the one for the Touran and Skoda are to big to fit on the A3 (at least if a roofspoiler is mounted (DKS)), or are there some clearance at the top ?
I have this DKS mounted on my car - http://www.cyberbob2000.de/a3-freunde/verspoilerung/spoiler/a3%20dietrich%20dach.jpg

  6. I really like the one for the Skoda, are there anyone in the same style but just a little smaller ?

  7. Is it only for the Rear whipper people use other models or should i also consider using other model arms for the front ? (do they look different) ?

Hope someone have time to help.
(though i have experienced that writting in English on this site isnt very popular … hehe)

ps. i found the gallery under the user „Alexej“ which shows some of the whipers for the rear end.

hi!

lots of questions at one time… next time i would recommend u keep it little shorter… its easier to read and u will get more answers … i made that mistake myself ;o)

it is possible to change only the blades or you can buy a complete kit which is especially for the A3 … like this–> http://www.streetstyles24.de/sess/utn;jsessionid=1543e8974985095/shopdata/index1.shopscript

i would recommend that u buy the kit because the whipers look a little smoother and from what i have heard the wind noise should be reduced too… on the other hand some are experiencing problems cuz the the blades dont lay 100% on the windscreen.

but most of the buyers are content with the aero twin whipers… and next month i will buy them too…

I am sure there are more Users who have the aero twins installed… ?? also bitte mal paar Fotos von denen die die Aero Twins schon haben… ;o)

regards,
goat

you can get both: complete with arm or only blades

Visioflex are for the original arm but from another manufacturer (SWF) and they seem to look a little worse then Aerotwins (i only read this, i don’t have pictures)

you already found the pictures in the galery of „alexej“…
so you can see - it’s only the better look… compared to the original 8L whiper

yes indeed, with roofspoiler the skoda whiper is too long
but i don’t know a same looking that’s a little bit shorter

Hey,

thanks for the answers to both of you.

Mackie:

About the answer for question 4.
Does that mean that the size and the look of Bosch Aero Twin arms and blades are the same for both Golf IV, Golv V and Audi A3 8L / 8P ? (I have only seen the picture of the Golv V arm in Alexej’s gallery)

I think i read someone complaining about they bought some that were to long and the end wasnt going against the window but sticking up in the air (at the end of the whiper).

The part numbers in the „wissendatenbank“ are the ones that are used for Golv IV, Golv V, Audi A3 8L / 8P ?
