1.Der (neue) iMac ist der erste Mac mit Intel-Prozessor. Gleicher Preis, gleiche Ausstattung… Die CPU ist eine Core Duo und soll zwei bis drei Mal schneller sein als der G5 iMac. Er besitzt einen 17- und einen 20-Zoll-Bildschirm, iSight, Front Row, Apple Remote - alles zum gleichen Preis.
Es gibt zwei Versionen:
Der 20 Zoll iMac: Der neue 20-Zoll 2.0 GHz iMac, kostet 1699 US-Dollar:

- MacBook Pro: Es gibt einen PowerBook-Nachfolger: Er heißt MacBook Pro und soll vier bis fünf Mal schneller als sein als bisher. Das macht ein Dual-Core-Prozessor möglich, der bis zu fünf Mal mehr Leistung pro Watt bringen soll als es mit den PowerPC-Prozessoren möglich war. Außerdem ein Widescreen-Display, das so hell sei wie die Cinema Displays und eingebauter iSight.
Technische Spezifikationen und Preise: 5,6 Pfund schwer, 1999 US-Dollar für 1,67 GHz - 1,83 GHz für 2499 US-Dollar. Nur muss man sich gedulden: Die MacBook Pros kann man zwar schon heute vorbestellen, sollen aber erst im Februar auf den Markt kommen.
